Currently, automatic analysis of your stress and relationships through Sharecare is available only on Android smartphones. During phone calls on your Android, Sharecare automatically monitors spectral data alternations in your voice, identifying fractal patterns. Based on these patterns, the technology can determine your mindset and stress type – like worry or irritation. Sharecare does not listen to, record, store or analyze the actual content of the call; and you can opt-out at any time. Following each call, the app presents you with a visual representation of the intensity and stress type detected during your call, ranging from a calm “green” to a very intense “red” and several shades in between; as well as a short description of your mindset during the call. Additionally, within Sharecare, you can access a dashboard showing how your results fare over time, per call and contact. By providing real-time feedback on your stress, as well as monitoring trends over time, Sharecare can increase self-awareness, triggering positive behavior change and helping you improve personal relationships, which will actually improve your health.
Having trouble receiving automatic tracking from your calls? Keep these tips in mind:
- Be sure you have the latest updates installed by visiting the Google Play Store searching for Sharecare, then clicking the Update or Install button if available.
- Ensure that Stress tracking is turned on in the App's Settings menu and that the app is running in the background, with you logged in.
- In order to collect sufficient data to provide an accurate analysis, all calls tracked must be over 30 seconds in duration.
- Ensure you have a good connection to your wireless and/or cellular network.
